Good evening Travelers, my Dani is cringing at me doing this. They donât want me to send this to all of you. I did my first Instagram live because Dani told me I had to record a video to allow Instagram to have original content in my reel. I think she might have been wrong. âAnywaysâ this is the video. I thought youâd like to see it.
Random Thoughts – 12-10-24
Just because I know how to mow the lawn doesnât mean I should.
I was chatting with someone this week and I was reminded of when a salesman from now closed R&R Sunrooms built my sunroom. We were talking about how I built my momâs deck and helped Andrew Foor.
Shout out to Andrew and Shannon (Stout now) and the kids, build his brotherâs deck in Raleigh NC.   The salesman, I canât place his name now, it has been 16 years, mentioned that was great and all but I shouldnât feel bad. âYou do all this âŚâ (speaking of my day job). I am paraphasing her e, âJust because you can do it doesnât mean you have to. You make good money doing what you do, just focus on doing more of that and pay people that make less per hour to help you out. You have enough to handle.âÂ
For some reason that conversation has stuck with me over the years and it is starting to mean more everyday.
Find your strengths and harness them. Take ownership of your strengths and take advantage of the skills that come easy to you. Donât waste precious time trying to fit your personality / work ethic into a hole (career, lifestyle, relationship) it wonât fit in.

I have learned a few things about myself lately. I am speaking my mind and living with no “ragrets”. That was misspelled on purpose. Life is too short to care what people think about me or my motivations for singing in the car or doing crazy Dad stuff. I am living in the now.
My kids and I learned the hard way that life is too short when we lost our beloved mother, wife, and dedicated volunteer to an accidental drug overdose on Halloween, October 31, 2018.
This experience has made me passionate about raising awareness. I urge you to properly dispose of any old or expired medications you may have. By doing so, you could help save a life.
Singing in the car – December 6, 2024 – We all die young
I sing in the car every morning after taking my Dani to high school. This morning, I had to head over towards Matthews for a doctors appointment because of a sinus infection. I stopped off at Brueggerâs bagels on the way.  I recorded this of me singing in the car.  The recording is paired with images of my daughters and my late wife of 6 years, Sonya Douglas Ross.
Itâs a Manâs world! But it would be nothing, nothing without a woman or a girl! #family
